Configuring Email Software

GatorLink mailboxes can be accessed with virtually any standard email client software. Such software includes Mozilla Thunderbird, Microsoft Outlook, etc. Instructions for ThunderBird and MS Outlook are located on the UF Software CD-ROM web site.

The following is the configuration information needed to set up email software for GatorLink email service:

SMTP server (outgoing) smtp.ufl.edu
Port 587 with TLS encryption
IMAP server (incoming, recommended protocol) imap.ufl.edu
POP server (incoming) pop.ufl.edu

If you have problems setting up your email software, call the UF Computing Help Desk at (352)392-HELP.
